Main service panels should have neutral bars bonded to the panel and grounds.
4-wire subpanels should NOT.
Does the main panel in your house have a breaker feeding it at the meter base? If so then this panel should be fed by a 4-wire feeder. If not, then bonded neutral is what it should be.
Does the subpanel in your cabin have a 3 or 4-wire feeder? If 3, then neutral bar should be bonded and neutrals and grounds should be on same bar.
If 4-wire, then the neutrals and grounds should be separated with the neutral bar isolated from the panel.
3-wire feeders to detached buildings were allowed prior to 2008 with the stipulation that there be no other parallel metalic pathways between the 2 structures. If there IS other pathways, then a 4-wire feeder would have been required prior to 2008 code cycle.
