Wiring multiple fluorescent fixtures?

I'd like to upgrade the lighting in my 3 car garage to fluorescent T8s.

There are 2 standard bulb fixtures on the ceiling controlled by a single light switch on a 15 amp circuit.

I'm at a loss when it comes to figuring out how I can "daisy chain" the fluorescent fixtures, as described in the attached diagram.

If it isn't a code violation, I will hide the wiring since the space above is a cold-zone attic with no insulation. However, if I have to leave the wiring exposed, then I suppose I need to use something like conduit or raceways?

So, my questions would be:

1. How do I daisy-chain multiple fluorescent fixtures? Note that the outer fixtures in the 2 car garage portion would have to get main power from the center fixture.

2. Are there any issues with running Romex in the attic space behind the drywall ceiling? This would be cleaner, but would it change how I would wire the lights?
