I got an hour meter for my 240v compressor... what is the proper way to wire it in? I received no directions with the gauge...
Thanks in advance...

Is the hour meter 240v?

If so, it needs to be wired in parallel with the load side of the compressor switch. Polarity doesn't matter.

Is the coil to the starter 120 volt? If so you can wire to that. If all voltage is 240,then you will have to get a neutral from somewhere. You could also put an aux contact on the side of the starter to isolate the hour meter.
