How are you handling the wiring in the tiny Controller J boxes that retro fit recessed lights come with?
Like this:
The current recessed can lights have a ~3x4 J box that can easily fit two 12/2NM and the wires for the light bulb. I don't think there's any way I can fit 2 12/2 in the tiny retro fit light boxes, even just one 12/2 looks like it will be tight.
I have full access to the attic, I'm thinking I will need to splice three 12/2 (feeder from switch, daisy chain feeder, feeder to Light) in there own 4" box next to the light, so I can just run one of the 12/2 into the recessed light j box. Since I have 3 lights total, I was also thinking of splicing 4 12/2s in a single box so I can run a single feeder to each light from a single box. Anyone have any other ideas?
