Wiring Rockwell from 220 to 110

I found several pictures of that motor on line They were all a little too fuzzy to see the motor plate. The info is on the red part on the upper half of the motor plate Post a nice clear picture of it and I would be happy to go over it with you. Basically there are 2 run windings in the motor. They are wired in series for 240 and in parallel for 120. There is a general convention with one winding being wires 1 and 2 and the other being wires 3 and 4. For 240 1 and 4 go to the line and 2 and 3 are tied together. For 120 1 and 3 go to one side of the line and 2 and 4 go to the other. That being said, post a decent picture and we can make sure.

Piece of cake. If you look at the 115 volt diagram you will see TWO jumper straps. In the 230 volt diagram there is only ONE . It is that strap that goes from the upper left terminal to the lower right in your photo of of the motor terminal box. You are going to have to fabricate another one out of a piece of brass or put terminals on a short piece of heavy wire to make a jumper. The two black wires in the motor with the red terminals stay where they are. The metal strap that goes from the upper left to lower right must be moved to go from upper left to lower left. The new jumper, that you must supply, will go from from the upper right to lower right terminal. The power line can be put on the two screws that are not occupied by the two black internal wires. For neatness put the straps on first. Those internal black wires are the ones marked 7 and 8 on the diagrams. Need any more clarification, let me know.
It just occurred to me. Did they double up the two straps on one pair of terminals for 230 volts? Take a look before making another strap.
