Cannot figure out how to loosen or tighten the nut holding these pinking shears together. Any ideas? Nothing on the 'net that I can find. The tension is just a hair too loose, which is fatal on pinking shears. Thanks!

So you need a special tool. FYI - The way most shears or snips are built the round head side has a square hole and the nut side is round. The blade on the square side is fixed and doesn't move. The round hole blade moves. The bolt is square near the head but becomes round just before the threads.

How about finding a pice of small pipe that just fits over the round head then file out a notch the thickness of the slot or divot in the head. slip a thin sided screw driver through your filed notch and into the recess in the round nut. Turn the pipe with a pair of visegrips locked onto it.
