Was over at my local Lowes yesterday. Bought a three piece set of Wiss metal snips for less than $20.00. They were USA made and had the green, red, and yellow handles. I thought this was a good buy. What do you guys think?

I had just bought a pair of these because me and my girl friend are putting vinyl flooring in my kitchen and need something to cut the tiles...I just picked up the pair because we needed them wasn't looking at the brand or COO...I was pretty excited when i looked at the packaging and seen made in america though.

I bought the three piece set from Lowes last year. The jaws one one pair broke cutting 29-gauge liner panel for my garage. Not heavy material whatsoever. Kinda disappointed...

Not to hijack, but anyone know where to warranty these?

My lowes told me they will make good on any item they have sold for warrenty purposes...but at the same time when I bought some items I was told I didn't need to keep the receipt cause they have everything on computer...but when I went to return an item days later they told me without the receipt they can't prove I bought it there... So I guess if it doesn't say Kobalt on it, it's hit and miss if you don't have the original receipt.

No the wiss are one step above cheap dollar store ones. Bought two and wore out in no time. Malcolm and Midwest are the brands to get, and make sure you get the offset ones so you're not fighting what you're cutting.
