Wiss Vertical (90*) Aviation Snips @ Lowes

I was just at Lowes and they had the the Wiss 90* snips w/ green grips on clearance. My paticular store had them for $4.12 before tax and $4.44 after not entirely sure what I will use them for but couldn't pass up the price. Just for reference every Home Depot I've been to has them "clearanced" at $15. SKU 03713224576 is what the barcode said however when I just looked at my receipt it says 299216 Offset Snips which may be a clearance SKU. This particular set was on an end cap in the tool section.

I wonder if that was a local thing? I was in Lowes today in Starkville, MS and they were regular price for the snips. I'll keep an eye on them next time I'm in there...maybe they weren't marked down yet.

i bought some on clearance last year about this time for about the same price. i had them in my work tool box and used them twice. i am not a wiss fan but i hoped these would sway me.

if i see the midwest brand on clearance ill try them, but only sears has them from what i have seen.

This link might tell you if your store has them, tho the handle is a different color. Mine had none.
