Found a Wissota E-7 Bench grinder on CL. Went to pick it up and the PO had pinched the tool rests off it. Said he needed them for his JET 8". He took $5 off the agreed price ($40). If anyone has original rests for this grinder and they would be willing to sell I'm interested. I would have walked away but I drove an hour and a half to pick it up and I still wanted it. It purrs. Still has original Wissota wheels on it too.

Thanks,

Tim

I bought the Milwaukee version of your grinder a few weeks ago (same grinder, just painted red), and drove 1 hr each way. I think it was definitely worth it. Did you get the lighted eyeshields with yours?

I don't think they have any parts inventory though. They quit making grinders when china entered the picture. Just blade sharpeners now.

I an also interested in knowing how much they cost, I am in the midst of making a set of rests for my Wissota grinder. Maybe I should have bought a pair of new ones.

Wissota E-7 7" Bench Grinder

I scored this Wissota today for 20$ at a local indoor flea market. I visit regularly. They usually have a good tool selection, but overpriced.

I didn't hesitate on this. The proprietor told me the vendor had put it in his booth yesterday. Runs smooth like butter. I don't care about the one missing tool rest or both shields. I'll fabricate my own!

Edit: I mounted it to a 1" piece of melamine shelving so I can clamp to my bench when needed.
