Alright guys, I have now ordered these screwdrivers 3 times, once from Amazon, and twice from KCTool and have not yet received the correct screwdriver set.

Can anyone recommend a place that will send me a Witte Screwdriver set with the handles I want? I am open to Witte #663831 or #663864, or maybe even #663865, but I would like this handle style:

MaxxPro Plus (all websites show this handle style for all 3 part numbers above)

I've ordered these 3 times, now, and all 3 times received this

The old style (white handle) that you want has been replaced with the new style (black handle) that you are receiving. They have the same part numbers. If you want the old ones, you would need to find a seller that still has old stock. Call KC Tool or another store and ask if they have any of the old stock.

So the color isnt really my concern, mostly the shape and location/size of the grip sections, the Pro is a better tool.

The Maxxpro Plus handle

The Maxx Plus is a totally different driver handle.

What I have received each time is labeled as Maxx Plus, not Maxxpro Plus? Is there any way to get a Maxxpro Plus set? I called KCTool, and was told that Maxxpro doesnt exist anymore, which I'm sure they are great guys, just confusing as it is still on Wittes website.

So it's the grip that you want not the old handle that you showed.

I think your problem will be solved if you order by part number instead of what the grip looks like in the stock photos on dealer websites.

The grip style in your second photo replaced the grip style in your first photo. So if you ordered what was shown in the first photo then you received the correct new model.

What you want replaced the protop.

I have no idea if KC Tool is correct or not about it being discontinued. It is on the website like you showed. Make sure that is the part number you are searching.

So I think i have it sorted out. KCTool has the Maxx Plus driver set part numbers shown with older MaxxPro Plus images and listed as MaxxPro Plus, however the part numbers are actually just the Maxx Plus sets, no Pro.

I downloaded the 2020 Witte Catalog and found the correct part numbers that I need from their official catalog for the Maxxpro Plus 6pc set and Dylan is going to get me the correct set sent out. Looking for them later this week.

Looks to be called Protop II now on KCTools website, but still called Pro Plus by Witte catalog.

Yea, in this case it was the description, and the pictures lol I normally just trust reputable retailer websites for at least the description to be accurate even if the picture is dated. But I guess for tools there are so many variations that I need to confirm part numbers in manufacturer catalogs from now on...

Hope you get the right ones, but I ordered a protop II from KC tools a few months ago and it did not have the micro fiber panels on the handle.

I bought a set of those from Home Depot before. Their site still lists them but says they're out of stock.

Years back I purchased witte pow'r torq screwdrivers. They look like the same handle design but the soft grip is yellow and it has a hex on the top of the shaft for a wrench.

A few observations

1) soft grip was about impossible to keep clean from working on the car. Dirty grease stained it.
2) the grip was super soft. It became hard after a few years
3) shortly after I got the screwdrivers, a rat got into my garage. The only thing it ate was the soft handle of the one witte screwdriver I left out. It ate the handle like it was corn on the cob.
