I'm in the home stretch of restoring a vintage Western Auto 7" Circular Saw, model BE4000B37. Probably from the 1970s if I had to guess. My issue is that I believe that there might be an arbor shim or two missing from this saw (critical components for this gear driven bronze bushing setup to minimize wear/heat/friction), and I want to get it put together properly before buttoning it up for good and putting it into use.
I haven't found any documentation for this model anywhere online, either on forums like this one or in ebay listing photos for Wizard saw owners/repair manuals.
Do any of you happen to have any documentation for this particular saw? Maybe you still have an owners manual kicking around for one of these?
