Wizard Socket Date Code?

On a recent pawn shop visit, I picked up several WIZARD branded sockets. On most, if not all of them, there is a letter after the part number.

Is this a date code or possibly a manufacturer code?

I don't have a good answer for you, but I do have a couple S-K Wayne sockets that have a similar look with the groove spacing. However I don't see S-K named on AA as a mfg of Wizard tools.

AA was the first place I looked, as well.

I believe sk and vlchek were associated, and vlchek produced some wizard stuff starting mid 50s

Wizard was a brand name used by Western Auto stores.
