@M635_Guy if you decide to go with traditional fixed extensions, check out the offerings from Mac Tools. Great quality and nice knurling on the female drive end and shaft.
That decision had already been made :)

I was kinda second-guessing myself and was considering swapping them out for the Wobble Fix or maybe ordering a couple of individual Wobble Fix extensions (which I still might do, but going to wait).

This whole thing was inspired by me doing some suspension work recently. My garage is tight, and on one side I'm kinda pinned against a wall. My extensions kept rolling under the damn car, which was really ******* me off. I really like the Koken design for its resistance to rolling and the knurling.

I have the snap on wobble plus set in 3/8 an dont like them. Haven’t used them in a while to be honest. Good concept but I think it’s easer just using a wobble a non wobble set. The socket seems to get pushed in. I have the 1/4 3/8 1/2 wobble only in snap on. Wouldn’t pay full price but got them used. Also Have sk and gearwrench a they haven’t given me issue also. Standard extensions Ime a big proto fan.

For those who dont like them, how would you feel about a mobile tool set where you are going to be limited with tools you have?

Assuming your options are either:

A) All Wobble Plus Extensions
B) Half Wobble and Half Regular Extensions
C) One single small wobble + the rest regular extensions

Which of those pairings would you prefer? Assume the same number of total extensions regardless of the option. So if you go Wobble Plus you can have a larger number of different lengths. If you go half wobble and half regular then you cut the length options you have in half.

Would you sacrifice the annoyance of wobble plus for the versatility of having more extensions available?

I have a Klutch 1/4" x 4" wobble plus extension because I found one laying in the grass at race track. I think it's pretty freaking handy.

Broke the found one taking the turbo pedestal off my 7.3 Ford. It was at about max angle and may have had a long-reach 3/8" ratchet adapted to it at the time..

The warranty replacement one seems stronger and tighter.

Yeah, I ain't too proud to warranty a found tool.

I guess I’m in the minority because I’m okay with wobble plus. Engine work is the only time when I’d agree wobble plus can be annoying. If it’s something really tricky, even a spark plug, I use locking wobbles.

All the rest of the time, I show up with wobble plus thinking I don’t need a wobble but if I do, it’s one click away, which is convenient. I think they save me some back and forth. Sometimes ypu are good with where the bolt is now. But once you start backing it out, you might appreciate the wobble then.

So I guess my point is, don’t think of them as substitutes for wobbles. They are regular extensions with a extra super power when or if you need it.

For me it would be between A and C. Depending on what you are doing exactly.

I have full sets of both Wobble Fix (Plus) and normal extensions with Ko-Ken. 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2".
I also have a few random wobble extensions which hardly ever get used.
Really I use Wobble Fix in all cases, except if I know the bolt is going to be seized or really hard to undo. The Wobble Fix are definitely weaker and I have managed to break 1 in 3/8" size. It broke where you would expect.
