Wolverine EnduraShield vs. Mag Chloride

Hi all. I just registered for the board, but have been reading for several months. I am just finishing the process of building a new house. I get the keys in probably two weeks. I am seriously considering putting epoxy on the garage floor. I have a 750sqft three car. After quite a bit of reading, I think I want to go with the Wolverine system. My biggest concern is Mag Chloride. I live in Arvada CO (think Denver) and we get quite a bit of the stuff dumped on the roads. I have heard from several folks that Mag Chloride is hell on an epoxy floor. I am planning on top-coating the floor with the EnduraShield product, and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with EnduraShield and Mag Chloride. I am hoping that it can protect the epoxy from the Mag Chloride, but I REALLY DON'T want to put the floor down and then next spring notice that the darn Mag Chloride runoff has etched the EnduraShield, or worse, gotten through and started peeling the epoxy up. Any experience with any other epoxy type product that has shrugged off Mag Chloride?

I have another question. I have seen stuff on the internet that says that you can put down vinyl stickers on the base coat, spray with acrylic clear paint, and then top coat right over the sticker, and you are good to go. It would be a fun way to put a hockey team sticker in the floor. Anyone done this? Thoughts? I am concerned that the top coats would not adhere nearly as well over the stickers, but perhaps this is just a stunt for areas where I won't be putting hot tires or spilling lots of fluids.
All ideas are welcome!

Both the EnduraShield 2254 and the LiquaTile 1184 are resistant to MgCl. In addition, if you want to do a graphic you would put it under the EnduraShield 2254.

Thanks for the info WolverineCoatings! I have been concerned about that stuff. Concerning the graphic, I am imagining that having the graphic between the base and the endurashield will weaken that area of the endurashield and I should take pains not to drive on that area with hot tires or hammer it too hard with a pressure washer, right?

Anyone else had experience with the stickers weakening the top coat's adhesion or not?

I am also looking at using metal flakes from originalcolorchips.com. I am thinking metal flakes on a black base. Anyone done this? Got pics? I know I know, I will upload as I go...

Yes, we ship to Canada.

We haven't had any problems with decals lifting etc. but it's not that the EnduraShield or BondTite is weaker, what would be weaker is the adhesion of the graphic to coating it rests on. If it's a large graphic consider using the perforated vinyl, the type used for windows. That way there would still be a lot of contact with the clear coat and the epoxy underneath.

Also clear coat the entire floor, then apply the graphic, then another layer, or two, of clear coat over the graphic and surrounding epoxy.

Here are a couple pictures of inserts done over an Original Color Chips metallics floor that I did in the past. I installed the inserts on top of an epoxy grout coat and under a polyaspartic topcoat.

edit -> the metallic chips were full broadcast, so not 'over' any color. They covered adequately but could have covered better. If I were to work with them again as a full broadcast layer, I would either put down a pigmented coat first or put down two layers of chips.
