Wolverine Vari-Grind sharpening jigs

I have a basic Wolverine jig on the grinder next to my wood lathe. I use it for some things and I free hand some other sharpening operations.
I want a better option for spindle and bowl gouges. I'm looking at the "fingernail/side grinding attachment" and also the "Vari-Grind 2 attachment" which looks a little different in the catalog. The difference in price between the two is $22.00.

It looks like the VG-2 has better or different articulation for gouges.

For anyone that has one or the other, is the VG-2 worth the extra price?

What has been your experience?

I see you are not getting any responses and I'm not much help other than I had a grinding jig and it was terrible. I made a jig that I saw on Youtube(Eddie Castolin maybe) and used that as a guide to make one.
I also was very fortunate to have found a carbide grinder and I use that more than anything else.

I read a lot of negative reviews about the Vari Grind 2 so I purchased the original. I seem to be able to get a decent swept back grind with it after playing around with the settings.

Ronnie and Mike, thank you for the responses. I edited the title to make it more clear that I'm dealing with a Wolverine jig.
Both of you figured that out. I'll do a little more research on the differences between the two attachments.

My understanding of the vari grind 2 is that it prevents you from accidentally running the gouge past the edge of the grinding wheel.
