Just got a great deal on a heavy duty wood chipper that wont start. It seems it is equipped with a device to kill the engine if the oil pressure is too low or the coolant is too hot. So far so good right.
Well at some point someone for some reason disconnected a bunch of the wires. Im guessing they were trying to by pass the safety switch (to start the motor you have to press an override button while you're trying to start the machine and if you have to adjust the throttle or choke you don't have enough hands.)
The electronics that control the unit have a four wired junction and Im positive I can just jump short the wires and by pass the whole deal but was hoping someone might have done it before and had an idea if that's the easiest way to do it.
I'll try to get some pictures up shortly.

Once you have ascertained that the engine is not blown or has major mechanical issues, Get the manual then methodically restore the electrical system engine protection safety devices or at least test each one to see if it "makes". Sorry, I don't have a short cut. It sounds like that may be what got the unit messed up and in your hands. If it's been sitting awhile it might need fuel system service too.
