I saw a Kijiji ad last night for 8 wood clamps, asking price was $30. Called the number right away and told the guy I'd be there quick (was only 15 mins away). The seller was very nice and had all sorts of stories to tell about woodworking and his old hobbies. Story goes that he has to downsize to an apartment and can't bring all his tools with him.

He said 3 more guys called after I did, I felt that $30 was a ridiculously low price to ask so I tossed in an extra $10 (maybe it was the holiday spirit in me). I can use some good karma anyways.

The smaller clamps go for at least $15 each at CT so I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The two carver cast clamps are insane. He told me they are VERY strong.

You were going to get a "You ****" until you added the extra $10. :D

Still a great score!!

$10 for a really nice dude selling tools way too cheap. I'm sure I've haggled 100x that amount (maybe more) over the years.

He still gets a usuck, since it was 10 canadian  and those first two older clamps are way cool!

Oh come on! Exchange rate is only about 6 cents difference right now. The two older Carver clamps really are cool, Google tells me they're quite pricey units brand new. I have a feeling I'll use them more for metal working but we'll see.

Some People:lol_hitti Happy holidays!

wow that is amazing!

You can never have enough clamps. Are those blue ones Records?

Blue ones are Canadian Tire ones (Mastercraft) but they're pretty decent quality. Pretty sure they're sold everywhere re-branded.
