I have a 8.5x24' enclosed motorcycle with a treated wood floor. My question is, Is there an epoxy that will stick to a wood floor? I was thinking about installing black & white vinyl tiles, but I would like to go with a epoxy floor.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have a screened in porch with a really nice looking pine floor, t&g'ed. Water sealers don't do much for making it easier to sweep, and really don't seem to protect that well. I was wondering if there is an outdoor poly or an epoxy that would work well, but let the beauty shine through.

I put rustoleum epoxy on our indoor porch about 6 or 7 yrs ago. Went right over the osb sub floor. Still looks great. I'll post a pic later.

I used to use rustoleum on all my trailers, never prep them, just painted, and I was always happy to get a year out of them, (used everyday for lawn care) Just repainted to get a shiny new look, but the paint always held up!

trbomax, I like the flakes

That is one big motorcycle!

Kidding aside: why dont you want to keep the wood floor as is? Is it just plywood and ugly uncomfortable?

What about covering with tempered masonite using gorilla glue, then epoxy coating that?

I'm thinking about the times I've loaded my bike into my trailer, and how many times I've had to push or pull or really put some weight into it.

Then I think about how slick epoxy can get if even slightly wet. Those two combined makes me think of a bike on it's side.

Could you not just take up the old wood and put new wood down?

I had a metal floor, smooth in my race trailer at one time. Too many times came close to hitting the floor with my **** when it would get wet or a bit of oil on it. This trailer, I used a general floor paint, and added some sand for traction. Go ahead with the gloss. It cleans up nice. The sand will give you the traction you need. I have to recoat about every two years to keep it looking really nice.

I painted one of my sled trailer decks (6 place) ,maybe 20 yrs ago.Was the most dangerous thing I ever did. Lasted about 3 trips and I repainted with marine non skid compound added. My present trailer is just the treated decking,Ive retreated it 2 times, but thats it.In all fairness, the 6 place was open, and the one I have now is enclosed, and that does make a difference as far as how much **** gets on the deck.
