They are professional era so 70's/80's.... I dont have catalogs that new so I cant say for sure! The design themselves dates back to the Plomb wood handle drivers of the 20's but the wording on them points to modern manufacturing. Still a really cool item to find. I would have bought them if I came across them at a decent deal!

Considering they didn’t know what to even price them at so they sold them to me for $11.20 I’m pretty pleased.

I only paid 50 cents for one of those at a garage sale last year, but it cost $13 to ship it to another member here. o_O
I had something, don’t even remember what, now, that I sold to a member here for $10 shipped. I was shocked that with shipping it cost $13! I’m not trying to make money, but certainly not lose it, either! I absorbed it and learned to check shipping before I quoted a shipped price.

The story I got, and the reason I have never seen another Proto/Plomb driver marked "not for electrical use" was that these were salesman's samples. The man I bought them from was the son of a Proto salesman, and had been holding on to them for 25+ years.
