I understand. My house has vertical cedar siding over brick, and for years the woodpeckers have been attacking it. Though, they do make perfect 1" diameter holes, I'll give them that. I used to keep a bucket of 1" cedar plugs, hammer, glue, stain. Once up the ladder, pound it in and wait until the next one.
