I'd recommend an early "Earth" Stove (model 101 or 1000 series with the yellow ceramic decorative circle on the front door) from the 1970's, if your zoning doesn't require a modern EPA phase 2 certified stove. You may be able to get one for free.

I've had 3 wood stove stoves, including 2 with view windows, for aesthetics, and currently have those 2 in storage in my garage waiting for my dream cabin as I bought a new house that doesn't need a stove and isn't really compatible with an easy retrofit.
I liked the pre-1990s Earth Stove as it was simple (no view window) and had a huge firebox to hold plenty of logs, but more importantly, a deep ash pit so you didn't have to clean out the ashes as often. Very utilitarian. My new Zyphr stove (made in Oregon) has a nice window but the ash collection depth is relatively lower (it's still a great stove). I wish I lived in a place where I could put a wood stove in my garage.
In fact, I love wood stove burning so much, when I had to chop down a 65' maple in my front yard that had died, I kept 3-4 cords of rounds under my deck to have cured wood readily available for when I get my old stoves hooked up, which may be years from now.
