Anyone got one? Im thinking of picking one up to make my floor pans out of 18 gauge.

Where are you?
I have one like that I am not using and would sell it.
Overall they are decent but not great. If you search the web there are lots of examples of how to improve them to make them a very decent unit to use

I've been looking for one also & the summit / woodward fab / HF tools / Northern tool ones all seem pretty much the same.
From what I've read, they work, but not the greatest. The frame is somewhat weak & can flex which isn't a good thing.
Some pictures of owner modified units show a bigger frame built around the unit & welded to it to make it more rigid.

For a floor-pan that will be hidden by carpet, it will probably do the job.
If you were doing door panels, etc where you are looking for nice crisp lines that will be seen, a better machine would be a good idea.
I would like the one that Baileigh industrial sells.... but it's a little more $$ than i'd like to spend.

The woodward unit gets great reviews on summit. Im not opposed to welding some bars on for strength.

woodward fab is about 1 mile from my house (as the crow flies) some of their stuff is good some not so good, their customer service is great if you are local to them they have demo units and scratch and dent sales often

I've got the Woodward Fab one and a buddy has the HF version. When he first heard about mine he said don't bother as they are too weak to do a good bead. Then he saw mine and admitted that it is better than the HF version. I've used a few times and it does a good job, I did'nt notice any flexing in the frame while using it as I have heard the HF one does flex. I suggest either getting or making a fence for it if you are going to be doing just straight beads in long runs, or at least I need one.
