There are a whole load of traditional hand tools that have evolved over the years to speed up particular jobs. Many are good quality, but remember that techniques have changed over the years, as has much of the ironmongery that we work with!
I still have, and regularly use, a Yankee screwdriver. Remember however, that this tool was designed to be used with traditional wood screws, and work that has been correctly prepared with the right size clearance holes, pilot holes and countersinking! Subject to this, it will produce a superb result, in a very reasonable time! Try to use it without the correct preparation, however, and it simply won't work!
Much the same applies to many other traditional tools! They work great, provided you understand the differences!
