Woot gets a lot of attention here and frequent postings in the Hot Deals section. In fact I found out about Woot from GJ and have made about 30 purchases from them. I had an issue with one non-tool item that arrived broken and was missing parts and discovered that they have no customer service telephone number or email – you can only contact them through a service inquiry interface at their website. So I contacted them about 10 days ago. I never heard a thing so I contacted them again. Still haven't heard from them! I checked on the internet and there is a plethora of complaints against them. 99.9% of the complaints relate their absolute lack of customer service; which is exactly what I'm now experiencing. The Better Business Bureau gives them an F rating because of this. I have to admit I love the pricing and still check their site to try to find great bargains but I'm now overly cautious and do not buy anything from them that I am not getting a fantastic deal on. Yesterday I discovered that two of the items that I ordered have never arrived. I sent them follow-up service contacts for those and haven't heard back from them on these either. If this continues on, I suspect I will soon be done sending them my business.

Has anyone else experienced nonexistent customer service from Woot?

I usually check return policies, customer service, reviews etc before I buy from someone online. In your case I believe I would just stop buying from them.

Woot is owned by Amazon.com. Maybe try Amazon customer support?
---------------------------------
From the Woot FAQ page:

"I want to talk to a live person there. Can I call you?
No. We are busy sourcing new products and shipping orders. The best way to reach the right person to help you is through our Support page. For product questions, check our forums or contact the manufacturer first. We suggest a dating service, magic 8 ball, or Ouija board for general life solutions."

No personal experience dealing with them... I've bought a few things but look at purchasing from the site as a gamble. The price has to be stupidly cheaper than any other source for me to bite.

Reading through the comments of buyers pretty much confirms you're up the creek without a paddle should things "go wrong" with your purchase. It also seems since Amazon took over most of the so-called deals aren't all they're cracked up to be.

I've pretty much written them off. A guarantee with a return policy is worth a few extra bucks IMO.

The complaints you see all over the internet and at the BBB state that Amazon customer service will not get involved with anything Woot.

I agree with this strategy. Some of their prices are incredible - the lowest I've seen, but you need to pick and choose. I probably bought over $1000 worth of merchandise from them, and the missing items <$10 each, so I saved hundreds. I would never buy any high ticket item though, say over $100. If something goes wrong or worse I never receive it, the appeal of their bargains would quickly go away. Under the Amazon umbrella, I hope they will eventually clean up their act.

If you don't get a response, and you are sure you are right, do a credit card charge-back.

Based on what I've read on the Woot website , if You have a problem with an item , You contact the item manufacturer .

I've read some item descriptions , computers in particular , that say specifically not to call Woot if You have a problem.

I wish they would spend less time with smart *** comical item descriptions , and spend more time on customer service .

for less than $10 pragmatically it isn't worth the time on hold with the bank and the explanation especially since it is individual items on a larger order.

Also I'm sure the bank would question why I consider to buy from a company I am asking for a charge-back on. Like I said, too long a story and too much explanation.

Just a follow up. I received an e-mail from Woot, and they are issuing a refund for the problem and missing items. I will report back once I see the refund.

Had a issue with them once. Package never came. I had to do all the foot work with the shipping company file the claim and all that which is usually left to the shipper (woot). However, they did have tolerable email contact and I eventually was fully refunded. But, since the issue i've really backed away from purchasing there. It has to be a insane deal or something cheap. I really hate the rolling joke product descriptions on the website. I browse by price alone.
