Work bench facelift

I had time over the long weekend to give my bench a facelift. My old Shure steel top work bench got a coat of Rustoleum Safety Red and a new masonite/temper board top.

I also have a wood bench from the PO of the house, pressure treated 2x12 lumber. I added a masonite top. Ripped strips of masonite, painted Red, and used the strips to cover the horizontal pressure treated lumber. Finished with some Azek trim I ripped to 1/2 thick to cover the joints. A nice facelift for $8 of temper board and left over paint.

I don't know why the first photos were rotated. Here's a few more. I have very good success with rolling on Rustoleum paint with a 4 inch fiber roller. These modern paints dry flat, and fast. The paint was applied with a roller on both the masonite and the Shure Bench.
