Hi everyone! New member here!

I would like to build a work bench and shelving around the garage for my newly remodeled garage. I want it to be about 7' long by about 2 feet wide. Does anyone have a plan or parts list for a work bench and shelving that they built?
I am a car guy (two old Vettes) so that will be the emphasis. Planning to put in a four post lift soon.

Pictures would be great also. I want to do it up right before I start putting everything back in the garage!

Thanks, Larry

Welcome to the forum! I personally would look into pallet racking. You often can find good deals on used pieces and it can be reconfigured if you want to reorganize.

I'd put two harbor freight 44inch tool cabinets side by side. Put plywood or similar on top.

24" to 32" deep counter top is the best distance to work on for reach comfort and typical tool box configuration. The same can be said for shelving. To reach the back of a shelf can be critical if you do not have access to the back or do not have rolling shelves.
Pallet racking is a great inexpensive source for storage shelving but most applications are in the 36" to 48" deep set up. Most two car garages can not accept these types.
There are lots of threads on this sight that have builds on what you are looking for so to keep the threads organized I would search around this sight.
