Anybody have any ideas for a work bench for my garage? The area I am looking to put the workbench is 15' in length and I need to incorporate a small table saw, bench grinder and drill press into it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Should I make it out of wood or go modular from Sears??

Table top or stand alone drill press? Are you wanting an outfeed table for the table saw? You say you have 15' length but how much width do you have. A rough drawing of what space you have to work with and what you want to do with the afformentioned tools would give us a much better starting point for ideas. Last question would be your skill level working w/wood?

If the table saw is built into the bench against the wall, it will limit what you can cut with it. It should be set up so you can move the saw out in the middle of the floor, for instance if you need to cut up a 4x8 sheet of plywood.

The old standard for a garage workbench is to find some old kitchen cabinets that someone's throwing out. They're usually pretty sturdy, or you can beef them up if needed and then put a good bench top on them.

Sounds like what you are looking for.

That's what I built except I only built half of it. I only had 8' to work with because of the location of my electrical panel. So I've got one 4' section with the assembly table and the other 4' is normal and has the pull out drawer thing. The best part may be the drawers beneath the bench. I raised the bench 4" higer than the plans and subsequently made the drawers 4" taller as well. They can hold anything. It's great.

I used 2" pipe for the legs 1/4 X 2 for the top & bottom rails & braces. The top is 3/4 plywood with 1/4 masonite. For 15 feet I would add a extra set of legs in the center of the span for support. The bench is 30 " wide X 40" tall with a bottom shelf It is light , very strong . I bolted it to a wall to keep it from walking.
