All right, is there a manufacturer of work gloves out there worth it's salt?
I'm looking for a gaunt-less pair, the tight fitting style. I've had the finger tips wear out, the seems start to pull prematurely...let's not worry about cost at this point.
OK, who do you like?

I personally prefer Iron Clad. They make several different kinds depending on your profession. Not sure if their the best but they work for me.

As far as mechanics type gloves go I've had the best luck with ringers or the matco branded equivalent. But if you really want something a little more heavy duty and pricey the mechanix wear fabricator gloves are nice. (they've saved my hands several times)

I rock the Mechanix Wear fabricator gloves at work, and they have held up nicely for the last 6 months or so. The heavy duty Mechanix gloves look to be about the same, but with cloth on the back of the hand instead of leather. Both have reinforced fingertips, and are a nice tight fit. Not cheap, but I've always been happy with their gloves.

Mechanix gloves with the cheap tape that sticks to itself on the fingers. It is a little more rigid, but you still have 95% movement and the fingers will last much longer, because as the tape wears down, the tape can be replaced.

I also like the classic leather Wells Lamont gloves, not super comfortable, although not bad either, but they last, and i have done everything from shoveling with them to torch work. They do take a lot of heat before you start to feel it.

I buy lots of Mechanics gloves. For strong fingertips with that same feel I like these. It's the newest version of the Impact glove. Has thin lambskin fingertips that won't wear as quickly. Just don't expect to pick up dimes off of concrete with them. Very very nice glove. About 30 dollars
