My favorite trouble light is ATD 60 led li-ion rechargeable. It runs almost all day on a single charge. Can take one hell of beating and keep on ticking. Can not count the number of times it has been dropped from 6 feet in the air and still no problem. Only problem I had with my previous on that was my fault is it got dropped in a bucket of coolant and the circuit board shorted out. But that is improper use and or abuse.

Thanks for your input I looked into the light you have.

I just hate being limited by the extension cord, and then always in fear of dropping the light and ruining the bulb in the trouble light or burning myself on it. Hence my research into a new work light. I have also seen this link that I'm interested in.

The AP 12SL or (AS12SL for Cornwell) are the new hotness UTL10/Matco comparatives coming out soon. Supposedly u can drive a truck over them.

No hook to hang them from for some reason, it appears.

For decades working on firetrucks my dad hauled all types of drop lights on the road. Then it clicked and we started using a streamlight hand lantern best thing we ever did put the vehicle charger in the service truck and have since put the 110v chargers and several of them in both his house and mine for when power goes out or when working under the sinks and stuff.

The most recent thin we got was on a whim from DelCity it this rechargeable led light that we could toss in the car when him and mom ride off so that the have something in the car.

I agree with the above, Streamlight Knucklehead all the way. You might pay a little more, but as they say, you get what you pay for.

JK on my post above. I'm told the 12SL has a 12SL-HOOK coming out as well that attaches to it.

I haven't used a corded light in a long time and don't even use hand held battery powered ones very often since I got a Nitecore HC50 - bright as you'll ever need and hands free - headlights put the light where you look.

Amazon on sale and some extra 18650's - expensive compared to cheap lights, but worth it, IMO. I sue mine for an average of probably 8 hours a week on the job.
