I decided to go on a different direction with the workbench. So I picked up some 2x4x8, a particle board, a pegboard, and I already had 4x4s laying around. This workbench is 8ft long big enough to fit both my cabinets. I plan on painting it gloss black to go with the cabinets

Here is the start with the frame

then I got the legs up using 6inch bolts with washers. then on the side I used 3 1/2 inch lag bolts

could have been 1/2 inch wider but its okay, ill just make the countertop 8ftx21inchs. but for sure it is hellaflush fit and guys im no carpenter. on the side of this i had extra wood so i made another bench that will be foldable against the cement wall it is also 8 ft longx2 ft. i just wanted them painted at the same time instead of going back and forth.

layed down primer and sanded that with 220.

rolled on the first coat, should look alot better after few more coats

time to cut out the countertop 8ftx21inchs. the left over will be used for countertop on foldable which is a perfect fitment

here is a shot of foldable with left over lumber. i am goin to have to bring it down some more because the height is way too high for me

framing up the pegboard, it was cut in half 8ftx2ft. other half im using for the foldable workbench

good enough for me and a great investment.

here is the foldable, pretty heavy duty. the pegboard is going on top. i am considering a chain instead on using the legs to hold it up.

I hope I motivated you guys to build something so you may be able to work more comfortable in your garage without spending tons of money.

got the pegboard set up on the foldable and put a few things on

decided to do a small modification to my 12 ton shop press. i went and bought a 20 ton bottle jack for about $30.

added a powerstrip to the workbench, more for charging up batteries and the drill press.

did some organizing, looks like a real workbench now

this is the first workbench i purchased. i which i had not, because it was much easier making my own then putting this one together for about the same price. there are batteries on the bottom and a power inverter. yes, my garage runs off solar power. i use the generator for my compressor. if i could do it again, i would have just made one instead of buying this hf version.

I made the top drawer organized with sockets by size using wood screws. Yea it could be better but its good enough for now. I added added white kitchen liner to many of the other drawers

I also wanted to share pictures of my rolling cart that I had for about 3 years. I use this daily when I work on my cars outside of the garage which is about 90% of time time because of lighting conditions, but here she is all organized

Looks solid, but if the particle board gets moisture in it, it won't hold weight, but I think you should prevent that with the paint. Just keep your eye out for any signs!

Nice and sturdy design, but it looks to be about 18" deep (most toolbox depths) so if not attached to a wall of some sort it will tip.
If you plan on extending the top out past the frame work you will have issues accessing items in the first top drawers.
As mentioned paint the top or better put some laminate ontop. Choose a neutral color so small items like screws etc don't get lost the color or graphics.

That looks like a good use of space, but unless you're a really tall guy, you might find the work height a bit too high. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Don't stop updating. There is no way one can show off their projects with out giving updates like you are doing. Even correction need to be told so others don't have the same problem.
With that being said watch out with some comments. The police may delete the thread.
