I searched for a workbench thread and see didn't one so I made this for general discussion.

Anyway just got the basics finished on my movable workbench. Still to go is a bottom shelf, drawer, a built in plug and I'm building a hardwood quick release vise on the end.3f39255215f536b4d711e52215d7af77.jpg3122c4ff3db5e1643a06cb52e9d8318a.jpg

I bought a piece of maple butcher block when a local home center was going out of business. I made it into a work bench that doubles as the outfeed table for my table saw.

Yours looks like a nice solid build

Thanks it's my dad's shop since I still live with them (I'm 19 in college), but yes I can say it is nice when your family consist of all carpenters.

Thanks. I'd love to get my hands on some butcher block since this is for my knife making/leather working hobbys. We have a 4'x4ish ft piece we use to cut up deer. Bet it makes a great workbench

Jaws of my solid walnut vise. JB-Weld Epoxy (which I highly recommend) on the ends for the cracks.8e8416604253ccc5d2fc77b9b12ca25d.jpga6bb97bbcc62cc7def3742e829546ff1.jpg6359ea9909eecf045315a367b476099d.jpgdf52510def7eb863f5e08a0eec71c895.jpg

Nice. I like how you incorporated your miter saw into it.

Thanks. I still plan on building two roll out work tables that will also house the table saw and other tools.
