I'm looking for a strong floor mounted lift technology that will allow me to raise and lower workbench with a work area of 60"X30". Something with wheels would be a huge plus! I would like to use it to assist heavy cargo off my truck bed.

Originally, I was thinking about a grooming table and bolting the bench in place. However, I can't be the only person to have thought of this, and I'd like to see what solutions you all have come up with!

Hydraulic lift tables are available. I see them surplus in the $200 range.

You could also use a foot pump hydraulic motorcycle lift and mount a platform to that. You'll want to add outriggers to prevent it from tipping, but would be movable.

Yep, I use my in floor scissor lift for a work bench as well. Throw a 4x8 sheet of plywood on it and good to go. Finnished drop it back down into the floor and I have the garage back

Why not use a motorcycle lift With extra side extensions? I have a Direct Lift brand platform lift, it is pneumatic and height adjustable. The deck is 48" wide and 93" long, when I do not have a motorcycle, ATV, or Microcar on it I use it as a work platform. You could make a wood deck for it or even a flat steel deck.
I would be lost without it.

I have a workbench with two Jackscrews with electric motors on a switch You can sit at the table or stand. I bought it used from a industrial surplus store for about $150.

I thought it was pretty cool when I bought it but I've never used the feature. I have an office chair and use it set to desk height and I've always used it that way. I have other work surfaces in the shop for use while standing. Of all the work surfaces in my shop the ones at standing height get used most of the time.

Will take a few pictures and find the manufactures sticker if your interested

The motorcycle lift was my first thought. Only a couple issues. Most of the ones in, what I thought was, my price range lift with a boom from left or right and I need it to go straight up and down. I also need it to be smaller so I can still maneuver it in my shop. It won't be possible at 4X8. So I will need to bring the size down a bit. I was thinking of 60"x30". I'm going to give this a try: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T74PR5I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Well, that specific lift table sucked. It came heavily damaged with missing parts. The foot pedals are way to close together and it's not very stable with it's tiny wheels.

I have this: Mine is 36x72. It has holes in the base you could mount casters but I wouldn't try and move it extended up like that. It's got a broad base but could be tippy. Mine will lift anything you could legally put in a truck bed. They do make them in 120v models, just need to be patient.

It's def not a tool you say "I really wish I didn't buy that, what a piece of junk"

Here's a couple nice examples...make sure capacity is what you want too.

No pic but I used the base of a barber chair to a nice butcher block top. The base was free and needed to be cleaned and some lube. Right place right time. Draw back is it is heavy.
