Workbench Light and Power Strip Questions

Hi Folks...

I'm slowly making progress on my shed. I hang some cheap cabinets and will add pegboards between the bottom of the cabinet and the workbench. I also purchased an under-cabinet light strip. I have two questions:

1. What is the best place to mount my power-strip? Just above the workbench or under the cabinet? I'm leaning towards the bottom (I have outlets higher already, half-way between the bench and the cabinet). Any thoughts?

2. What is the preferred depth for the under cabinet lights? Should they go towards the middle of the cabinet or more towards the outside edge?

Mount the outlet strip almost how its shown sitting, bottom back edge. Don't mount the outlets facing up. The under cab lights I would center within the the space. May depend on the wattage as to not increase hot spots being too close to the back as well as more of a glare on your eyes if you sit at the bench. You will have reflection off the back splash regardless. You can also temp hang them to see how you may better prefer the light.

I'd mount the power strip up the wall a bit, perhaps about where the (green? gray?) stripe meets the red stripe.

At the bottom of the wall, it will always be behind something on the bench.

My power strip is mounted on the vertical face of the 2x4 frame under the benchtop. No cords laying on the bench when you're working...
