Workbench Lighting

I am looking to update the lighting over my new garage workbench. I did a search and with all the information on the topic of general garage lighting, probably miss the information I was looking for.
The garage has 101/2 ceilings and the workbench is roughly 7' from the ceiling.
The remainder of the garage is well lit. The workbench is 8' in length 2' wide against the wall. Ceiling is white, wall light grey.
I was looking at recessed lighting for astitics. What suggestions would you have for the number of cans, type of lamp and wattage? The bench is used for general repair work. Thanks in advance for your time.

I used recessed Halogen spots over my work bench - absolutely Love it

3 of them - around 450 lumens each

Thanks Joe. I was thinking of three, now I know what lamps to start with.
