If it's the rotating one like the picture below it's Chinese. All of the ones like this sold under a multitude of names are Chinese in origin.

Asian anyway or at least most of them. I believe there was an original one that was American made (No I don't know who it was), that the design was ripped off from. (Whoda thunk???) :lol_hitti

i knew i recognized the name, but i couldnt put it with the vise.. lol. someone in my area has one listed as "USA made vise" but i didnt recognize the name and couldnt see the picture... lol

What makes you say that vise was USA made? I had a Wilton that looked 100% identical to these, even cast with Wilton's name on the side and it was definitely made in China. I've seen the Columbian version before as well and it didn't say USA on it anywhere. That vise was sold under a ton of different names and as far as I've ever heard anywhere each and every one of them is from China.

IIRC the Columbian name is now owned and used by the WMH Tool Group. They import a lot of vises as well as make some here. That particular vise was sold under Columbian's name right along side other import vises with Wilton's name on it as they are also owned by WMH.
