A friend of mine told me about this the other day, what do ya'll think? He was at a service garage where the mechanics where under a 4 post lift, instead of standing they were rolling under the car using padded office chairs that leaned back. At first I thought it was a dumb idea, but, the more I think about it I might just try. It sure would be easier on the ol neck.

Two friends of mine were doing a brake job on a car on a lift.
They really didn't know what they were doing. So I grabbed a roll around office chair and proceeded to roll back and forth, underneath the lift, overseeing ( or would that be underseeing) the work they were doing.
BTW I had a beer in my hand the whole time. And I never got my hands dirty.
They did and did not appreciate my assistance.

I had an old desk chair that the backrest broke and I didn't throw it out. I'm so glad cause I use it as a creeper now so Minot sittingon the ground or on my rim.

Old office chair is what I use. That's why I got a 2 post with the overhead bar, and a clear floor.

I have both two post & four past lifts at my shop and never had a desire to sit under one.

My question is, why? How could you possibly get any torque on removing bolts, replacing parts, or virtually anything sitting on your ****?

I mean if you want to drain oil and watch it drain sure... but it seems backwards to me.

Wondered how long till that got posted!:D

I was surprised it wasn't here already! :lol_hitti

It does LOOK cool, but I'm not sure I could do it....I think I'd have to reorganize commonly used tools into lower drawers (my box drawers have been organized as-is for a couple of decades), and I'm usually up and down anyway, getting manuals, parts...reaching to different levels up under the car. Also, I just don't have that much room to roll around.

But the idea of a creeper that can help me get up, sort of like an EasyLift chair for old folks....that I can see some value in. My "dismounts" from my current creeper are less than graceful.
