Mine is doing fine, but then I do them for a living. Sometimes when a large amount of slag drops you can smell the epoxy, but it is rare, small splatter is no problem.

If the concrete is shotblasted and the epoxy is installed properly it will take a severe amount of punishment. as witnessed in the avatar. I've since sanded and top coated with fresh.

Ive had mine for 10 years now, welding is no problem, I have managed to scratch it but I was dragging Coke machines across it. I wouls have to say that it has held up better than I could have ever imagined. It's a breeze to clean. Right now I has a lot of panit spatters and overspray but I have cleaned it all off before. I really can't think of anything bad about good quality epoxy floor coatings.

That's a long time. What epoxy is on there?

Epoxies are great especially for a "working floor." A high build epoxy is able to absorb and dissipate energy from dropped objects, vastly decreasing the chance that the underlying concrete will chip out. A good coating will also withstand abrasion from items being dragged or rubbed on it. Likewise it will not stain or suffer from spilled chemicals.

Mine is about a year old and still looks nearly brand new. Plenty of welding, cutting, grinding, torching, etc, etc.
