XSplit Vcam software. Virtual backgrounds without a green screen. (it removes your background or lets you substitute photos, blur things out, etc).

I looked into this several months ago when my grand kids started using Zoom. (Zoom does have something similar built in, but it is very limited in what it can do and is of lower quality) Anyways, the regular price for a lifetime license is $49, and it is currently on sale for $12. through stacksocial

Just don't be 'doing a Toobin' if your using this :lol_hitti

When you work from home, you use your company's video chat software. Plus there are plenty of free options. Why would someone pay for this?

Agreed. I've been working from home for 8 months now and NOT ONCE have I ever needed to use a webcam for a meeting. Some people have and use them but in my opinion, they are pointless when all you're doing is talking.

I use my Webcam for calls all the time, but it's with my company's wrbex and Skype accounts

The Mrs works from home. Her company has mandatory happy hour every Tuesday and Friday where the sole purpose is catching up socially. Web cams are required.

She uses live backgrounds... outside, inside house, inside car, front porch.

I suggested our hot tub... but she said no.

Zoom is free with a 40-minute limit. I use it for personal meetings, or I use skype. I use a corporate Zoom account when I attend corporate meetings.

I use a really old USB 1.0 capture device with a really old CCTV pinhole camera as my webcam. It's about as low-resolution as you can get. That way I don't have to worry about shaving, and you can't make out the pictures on my wall or anything, lol. My camera is on, you can tell it's me, but that's all you get.
