I have a 40 year old 15' X 30' detached work shop that has been wired, plumbed, insulated, drywalled, etc. I'm in Mobile, AL. so snow and salt are not an issue for us.
I have a vertical mill, a metal lathe and a 63 Dodge race car that will occupy the building when it's done. I will have about 64 square feet of shelving and work benches to deduct from the 450 total square footage.
The machine tools will have fatigue mats in front of them, so hot chips and slippery floors in front of the machine aren't a huge concern.
I will be rolling jacks, engine stands and engine hoists around in there, so the flooring will need to be pretty tough. I'm not planning on welding or flame / plasma cutting in here, so resistance to burning & scorching isn't critical.
I love the Lava Flow type of look, but I'm not sure about the long term durability.
What should I be looking at in the below $ 1K price range ?

I should be able to do Armstrong brand commercial vinyl tile for around $2.00 a foot, but the big question is how will it hold up to jacks, engine stands, etc..
I looked are the densifier / sealer route and I like the durability and cost, but it's a bit plain without doing a dye or stain.
I'll need to rent the dymabrade machine one more time, I have pint drops, drywall mud spots and patching some minor divots and low spots before installing the final floor.
I watched several videos on the rock solid metallic epoxy and I think I would have it wrecked in no time.
Am I narrowing my options ?

Hi our SPGX coating could be a good solution for this. It's available pigmented or clear and about 50 cents per sq foot.
