I shouldn't be poking fun of this, but my company (Garage and Storage Plus, Austin) did a few ceiling racks in this guys garage and it was, indeed, quite janky. I took these pictures with my phone while the owner was standing right there.

The installer and I were laughing. Note the glossy blue walls, pink baseboard (probably from the half-empty cans they sell at home depot for like 3 bucks), and the amateurish discount epoxy homemade floor with exactly EIGHT hot tire pickup marks (four for each car!). You can't really tell from the pictures, but there is paint spilled all over the place.

He wanted to know how much to fix the floor, balked at our price, and insisted that he would put carpet in! This garage is in a really nice neighborhood in austin where the houses come brand new with fully painted garages--he should have just left it alone.

I do think you are right you shouldn't be posting someones garage without thier permission. I know I don't want anyone posting pictures of my home or garage inside or out.

I have seen quite a few garages that are a lot worse than that one. Plenty back in California were so full of stuff that you could never park a car in there. That happens when you don't have a basement and you can park outside year-round.

Oh, I still don't know what janky means but I imagine too much would make you go blind.

It's bad enough to have a load of shoes like that, but those are some of the ****-ugliest shoes I've ever seen...........

Dictionary definition of “janky”
janky adj. inferior, bad, weird. Also jinky, jainky, jankie, jankey. Subjects: English, United States, Slang
Editorial Note: The connection between janky and jinky is uncertain, but as their usage seems interchangeable, I am defining them as a single term.

Fresh paint and a trip to the dump would fix all the problems I see. Except for posting pictures of someone's home without their permission.

Note to self: never use "garage professional" who airs customer's personal business to internet

Ditto on that. It's one thing if they gave permission. It's another if you are showing what they might not want showed. Outside of a house is one thing, but the privacy of one personal belongings is another.

No structure that can reasonably be described as a 'garage' has storage space for 50+ pairs of shoes.

How do you weld, grind, spray... without risking covering them in **** ? Heck, how do you even park in there without making them smell of exhaust fumes ?

That's just a storage unit that happens to be attached to someone's house. Sad.

I don't think it's too bad. They still get two vehicles in there. It is painted. Many wish they could have something that good.

We all have seen some super junk garages and some that cost more that our home, and we love everyone of them.

Yep, I agree, you need to lay claim to your Man Space Bud!

I think I see this guys balls in a mason jar (in a plastic bag) in one of the cubby holes.

You know why divorce is so expensive?!
... Because it's worth it.

Wow, talk about unprofessional. Can't say I'd be recommending your (sorry excuse) for a "business" to anyone in the Austin area, thanks for posting the name.
