Worlds worst craigslist add

This guy is serious I think. He has been trying to sell these tools for over a year. His adds have gone from somewhat normal but overpriced, to a little ticked off, to angry and now to this:

We should all respond to that ad and offer him 500 bucks for everything and thats if he can deliver. That should really send him offer the top.

Can't believe he doesn't want to take pictures and wonders why they are not selling.

I’ve got no problem with the ad. Take it or leave it. I used to sell A LOT on CL and got tired of lowballers. If someone has 5k and is willing to come look, then great.
That being said, from selling A LOT on CL, to effectively sell something you have to have a picture. Even if it is a $5 item. Some times even free items require a picture.
My guess is there is not 5k worth of tools, and since I don’t have 5k I would not bother the guy.
Even with the horrible economy in Michigan (if your not in Michigan you don’t have a clue) I got good money for every shop tool I upgraded last year.

Personally, I would rather someone be straight up honest with me than jack me around.

I replied to an ad by a guy trying to sell a "new" Milwaukee grinder for $75 that sells new in stores for $99. I thought this guy can't be serious. Why buy new from him when I can pay $24 more and BE SURE of a refund if it doesn't work. So I shot him an offer of $50 and he wrote back a 300-word dissertation about how people are trying to screw him all the time, so I reported him to CL and he was bumped permanently.

Now, I avoid those type ads like the plague.

If he isn't serious about selling (no inventory/no pics) why should anyone be serious about buying?

I sent him an email asking if there are any harbor freight or import tools and if he could take one picture or give me a ballpark idea of what he is selling. I also asked how do you expect me to drive 50 minutes to see the tools if I don't know approximately what they are and this is what he wrote:

If you want Harbor Freight then buy from the Lockport ads. Funny how fast you no money monkeys are to post a smart remark. Or are you another flagging jealous dealer?
In any case the tools are top line in new condition and have a retail value over 15 grand. I don't care if you buy them or not. I don't need the money and make an extra 20 plus grand per year putzing around in my back yard repairing vehicles part time. But I also buy tools from you hard up broke mechanic want 2 Bs. So if you need cash today? You know what to do monkey boy.

Huh? All tools are "in new condition", but he makes money repairing cars part time?

"New condition" means new. Not still works, still works like new, never abused, etc. Not even lightly used. New. You can't tell it didn't come from the store that morning.

And if he is still working, he isn't selling all of his tools. It's closer to a faded 'For Sale $5K' sign permanently in the back of an old K car. It doesn't cost much, and you might find a sucker.

that dude has issues for sure, but I see things like this in my local craigslist ads maybe not as angry though, and plus if thats his side business than why is he selling them to us "no money monkeys"? can you say coal calling the kettle black?
