Worth the drive?

I would make the drive for it. Then again, I drove from Wichita to Louisville on a Friday night after work to pick up a mill on Saturday morning and then drove back. I also drove to Wichita Falls to buy a $400 Dodge Neon. And then to Atlanta, TX to buy a mill. Maybe I'm not the best for advice on this topic.

Yeah I noticed that 'ring' on the pictures too, he said no cracks, it might just be how water flowed down and formed a rust ring... Dunnoo...
The handle is straight and looks clean so that is a good sign it hasn't been abused...
I would do it...

I got shut down by the boss. Three hour trip when both kids are in town on Mother’s Day weekend. Nope.
That’s too bad and I’ve been in your shoes before for almost the same reason. I my scenario, we were the ones out of town visiting and I found something I wanted in a town that we’d earlier passed through on the way on the way there. I mitigated the resistance to my being gone by working out an early enough meeting that the first leg of the trip to go pick it up would have been completed before any of the family on my end was even fully awake and out of bed. As it turned out, the seller and I became friendly enough on the phone that he actually agreed to hold the item for me until the return trip, and I didn’t have to use my tactic. I’ve filed it away for future use though.

I cannot complain though. I got her car in the garage last year for the first time since 1992. She doesn’t complain much
