Is it good quality? Do you have one?

No, I don't have one, but a friend of mine does. He likes his, and it gets good reviews online. Heck, at $20 shipped it's a great deal. Even the Ryobi one is $35. I have a Ryobi corded multi-tool.

Great deal especially if you don't have one already. Cheap way to obtain a useful tool.

For $20, I might as well give it a try.

Interesting note: I clicked on the link and it went to VigLink shopping...not sure what that is about; that's pretty messed up IMO. I 'opted out' of future tricks on their site.

off topic but do people really use this to cut drywall for outlets? I just use a utility knife.

Remember you usually turned the electricity off already :)

Huh? It just goes to the ebay listing for the tool. Worx has its own ebay store selling a lot of their products.

Any 12v multi-tool is great for dryall cutouts, otherwise what a battery gobbler.

I know the starlock blades are pricey, but shouldn't you still be able to use standard blades on there?

Yes. Waaaaay faster, more accurate, no risk of slicing your finger...

Also, I have plaster walls. Utility knives aren't going to touch that ****.

I borrowed a friend's (HF version) for cutting some drywall and loved it, so I just grabbed myself this one too. For $20, why the hell not right?

Apparent the only guy that has used one is the guy in the advertisement... perfect three day beard, never worn safety glasses or gloves a day in his (virtual) life.

Could a real-life person that has tried this give a quick thumbs up/down?

Going to take the plunge into the waters of oscillating tools also... Can anyone recommend blades for this tool?
And why do the photos show the guy cutting sideways, when all the blades I see for sale only have cutting teeth on the front?

The picture is confusing if you haven't used one. You'll find that you do a series of plunge cuts, rather than a continuous line.

Found the professional :lol_hitti

Granted a Rotozip does some jobs well BUT I would be interested to see the Rotozip undercut a door jamb for a flooring install or sand an intricate piece. Every tool has it's place and IMO... everyone should have a oscillating multitool in their arsenal as it makes some chores go from almost impossible to accomplish to easy peasy. :)

I've been buying blades from this guy for years.

Good & cheap too.

Those look nice and not too pricey. I think I paid $15 for a 15 piece assortment pack off ebay -- cutting, sanding blades. Not the best quality, but I still have some left and that was like 3 years ago when I bought them. I wish I had bought some that were a little bit nicer. I will once I go through these el cheapo ones.

Thanks. They also have a 20% of discount code for the WORX store items on ebay for Memorial Day for a $50 and up purchase (P20MEMDAY).

This dropped the price to $14.39 when I bundled it with a retail boxed JawSaw for $62.39 after the discount. I've got some 1" to 3" brush to clear and the Stihl 20" is overkill. I can cut it into shorter pieces for the chipper/shredder and the Jaw Saw seemed to be perfect for that job.

I have the craftsman version, still going strong. Been using it to cut the pvc, copper pipes, and flushing hardwood floor. No complaint!

Bringing back this old thread.

I ordered this tool almost a year ago and tossed it in a drawer until this past weekend. Got ready to use it and I discovered why it was only $20...it's DOA. I might open it up to see what's wrong with it, or I might toss it in the trash can depending on how the mood strikes me.

Same thing happened to me. I contacted he seller and he promptly shipped out another one.

I've used it a few times and it works fine.
