Saw this at the local harbor freight in the clearance section. It was marked down to $185, then they dropped it another 20% to $148 because it there 2 weeks. So Monday, if it's still there, it will go down another 20% to $118+tax so about $125. It's the 26" wide 8 drawer bottom toolbox that is usually sold with the upper 8 drawer toolchest for around $349. It's dented on the top front near the lock. I could probably bang most of it out. Then I can put in under my workbench that I'm building instead of my craftsman, and leave the craftsman chest rolling. I wasn't planning on buying another toolchest but this might be worth it. And if it's gone Monday, not a huge loss as I don't really need another box.

For what you want to do, at $125, yes. Something probably got dropped on it where the V notch is, hard. A large C clamp or ball joint press and a heavy piece of tubing or channel you should be able to straighten it out a bit.

only if you can live with looking at it, and you wont be saying "i shoulda just spent the extra money and gotten a new one" - i dont think id be able to - they offered me 30% off one of the side lockers i was buying cause it was dented in the back, top corner - and i turned it down for an undamaged one... everyone has a different idea if what "acceptable" is.. its up to you..

I'd go for it. I was at sears and saw a more damaged box and made an offer on it to the sales guy. He said he wouldn't pay half for that. And the manager wasn't there. So i went back a few days later and found the manager and asked about that cabinet. He said too late the sales guy bought it.
It a part/tool drawer in your garage, who cares if it's damage cherry got popped by someone else.

I think I'll buy it if it's there tomorrow, if it's still there, and bust out the body hammers and dolly set. I won't be upset if it's gone.
