Would you run this old stuff?

A lot of old eagle switches and plugs came through Restore. New in box. But doesn’t look like. current production.

I like the looks of some of it.

Too old to run or do you think it’s fine?

Thanks

There’s nothing wrong with those at all with the possible exception the mounting frame may not be grounded/bonded to the grounding conductor

That horseshit set aside there’s sure seems to be some value in the old school vintage look for some folks. You might actually be able to make a few bucks off those.

You know who might really luv a couple of those - @don long. I have no doubt he's probably got a few pieces of old work benches that would have surface mounted receptacles like that with the wireway hidden behind the assembly.

Edit, with that said you do realize the limitations you'd have using those in a modern installation right?.

Stuff like this and also any old fire alarm stuff is always a good money maker for me. I got six boxes of fire alarms, strobes, pull handles, sensors etc out of an apartment building remodel last year and made about $4k selling it.

Use it.

With that old stuff when there's a problem or risk it's pretty much always because of damage, someone modifying it or not being installed properly to begin with. It's safer then some of what they're selling these days.
