Wow! New racedeck install

I love the look of my new racedeck floor. My home is over a sinkhole and the slab is cracking bad. The insurance co paid to have 400 cu ft of concrete pumped under the slab to stabilize it. I was afraid of some more cracking as the house settles so epoxy was out. I decided on racedeck. My garage is 20x29 the install took 8 hours. I had a crew comming on sunday, my tiles came tuesday and I had wednesday off so I went for it.
The install took me a little longer than the video showed. My lessons learned..
1. wear gloves, the tiles are sharp on the back side, by the end of the day your fingers will be sore.
2. Stomping the tiles in worked for a few rows, and got tiring. If you dont have help get a large rubber mallet.
3. Watch out for tabs that get caught on the top of the tile instead of down into the loops. They will lay flat on top of the adjacent tile and leave a stress mark on the tile.
4 move everything out of the garage! I tried to leave 2 large rolling boxes, an air compressor and a workbench in and just tile half the garage and then move them to the finished half. The floor needs to float to maintain square. I was finding that as I tiled toward the back the tiles were getting too tight to fit. I moved it all out and the problem went away.
Other than that it was an easy install, I found myself checking the floor a few times last night Wow!

If you don't have help get a large rubber mallet.

Thanks for the tips, I would have tried not moving everything, too. Can't wait to see your pics, I'm a month or two away from doing mine. Also, having done other jobs that require pounding with a rubber mallet (boat rubrail), may I suggest a WHITE rubber mallet. It won't leave marks.

yup, move everything. First time I did my garage with Racedeck I left most of my tools in the garage and would have to move them all over the place, took 2 days to get the floor down. We moved last year and I took my Racedeck with me, had a EMPTY garage today and it took less than a full day, about 6 hours or so, same basic size garage, old one was 850 sq. ft. this one 940 sq. ft.

My only complaint is that when I bought my tiles back in 2003 I purchased enough for this new garage at the time, today I opened the boxes for the extra tiles and they look GOOD compared to the garbage my old tiles look like. But it was so easy with nothing in the way.
