Okay, you guys have seen the tools how about the box? I just found out a few things about it. It is a Simonsen Type III Mechanics Box. Produced in 1940. Of all the stuff that came out of it, it is by far the most valuable item! Possibly selling for as much as $200! (No, it is not, and will not be for sale!) Simonsen was a maker or takle boxes both before and after WWII.

In the pictures you will see it in its untouched form. Sorry, only 3 pictures. Since I took these, I have removed on set of inside shelves, fixed the bends in them and repaired the lid for the upper one. That side of the box has also been hammered out. Up next is the "Handle side" of the top and the interior shelves for that side.

I posted in the Fab section about my plans for this box. It will be cleaned (I could really use someone to blast it for me) stripped and painted. Inside it will be primed and shot with rustoleum satin black. Outside will be done in Rustoleum black Hammer tone. I wish they had that in olive green. It appears to be the original colour.

See the pictures here in the other thread. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29084

That's definitely worth putting some time in.
And,when you;ve done it yourself you will have something to be extra proud of.
