Anyone else have one? I don't know why but I love combination wrenches. I like my ratchets and torque wrenches quite a bit but an old fashioned set of wrenches is a weakness. My personal favorite are Snap-On Flank Drive Plus and I like their angle wrenches a lot too!

Easily 10+ sets of Craftsman here, mostly RP, some Professional (which are SK made in my case).

I have them in the original molded cases, complete sets 5 times over you name it...

Yeah, I have way too many wrench sets, yet I still look at buying more. No real reason except I really like them!

Get started on long flat zero offset double box end wrenches,a lot of $. Actually all kinds of double box end in various offset. Some people get addicted to German ones.
Giant Wright combination wrenches above about 1 and 1/2". About as macho as a 3/4" drive breaker bar.

I will check out the XBM. I have a number of 0 offset double box ends and a few 60 offset wrenches for specific jobs from when I worked on CAT mining equipment. Now that I'm in the trucking industry I don't use them much but they're handy to have.

My Snap-Ons have been in my box for 37 years. I love them utterly, only had a couple small ones fail in all those years, very fond of them ...but.........my new Wright open end boxes are extremely nice and every bit the equal of the SO. I have some SK wrenches and while a great tool, they do not measure up to the above mentioned IMHO.

I don't get this "wrench addiction" thing... am I missing something?

Just for a minute, stop and consider the multitude of nuts and bolts out there in the world. Thousands... millions... billions... probably trillions of nuts and bolts, all at some point in time in need of turning.

That may take a whole lot of wrenches, and when that day comes I don't want to be the guy making excuses for not having enough wrenches.

Besides, holding a nice wrench is akin to holding a nice Fenwick graphite rod.
Just one of those things you have to experience to understand.

I see you have a couple of Heyco Maxline sneaked in amongst all that Stahlwille and Hazet goodness!

Just think - if you lived in the U.K. you could include Inch A/F and Whitworth wrenches as well, and maybe store 'em in colour coded boxes... wait ... I do that already...!

I am also guilty as charged wrenches out the wazoo but my love of hammers takes control over me and I forget all about buying more wrenches when I see those old hammers.:evil:

Well, I don't call it an addiction, but my "enthusiasm" has lead to an "exuberance" of wrenches. My presence here has made me a bit of a snob as to brands, but I will turn a nut with any that work.

This is about a third of the current stash that I pulled from the four corners during the big tool roundup of 2013. Sorted most out to good sets with a lot of unusual orphans or partial sets.

Little things add to the stash too. I caught a Bonney bug a while back and found one at a garage sale. But to buy it I had to take a whole toolbox full for my $10. All were name brands except for the 3 that were in Japanese or something.

Also not show are my 7 sets of Gearwrenches. I was light on my SAE wrenches and found a deal for a combo metric and SAE set so I bought 2!

Jus some brake pipe spanners i picked up along the way pagid is on them , think they are a made in tiawan tool. But they are good dont round stuff off or spread. So they have stayed. Im kinda " if it dont work bin it kinda person" thats why they wife has stuck around for 25 years lol. Dont tell her i said that. Lol

I'd still like a good set of stubby ratcheting wrenches and a good set of double box ratcheting wrenches, in metric. Not because I've ever come across a job that made me think "Man, if only I have one of those, I'd be more efficient", but just because I don't have those.

I've also thought about selling my partial FD+ (8-19mm minus 9, 16, and 18) set and using the money to buy a Wright Grip set since the ratcheting set is also FD+.
