A few weeks ago there was a thread about combination wrench storage. Here's my set up: various springs from (mostly older) mountain bike forks. They're anchored in the drawer to keep them from rolling, but this isn't really necessary.

Yours is another good idea. I mostly buy vintage tools, gradually building up complete sets. The idea of paying more for a wrench or socket storage rack than I paid for all the wrenches or sockets that went in them bugs me somehow. Your spring can be stretched to hold a lot of tools!

I never thought about using springs as wrench racks, untill I saw it here at GJ..I think its an excellent idea!!! :beer:
