Wrench qwestion

Been under my Ram today, changing out a tie rod. I see I need some more metric combo wrenches. I work on my cars, when I am able to. All my buggies are Mopar. I do not see my self on a vw, bmw, audi, whatever. Gm, mebbe ford. I have a great selection of sae, up 2''. I do not work professionally on vehicles, I am an industrial hvac mechanic.
my question,,,,,,,,,,, I'm good to 18 mm on combos.
I am going to add to the collection. What sizes do I really need?
Please, only serious answers about larger metric wrench sizes needed to work on my stable.
Not interested in a discussion over brands, i will be buying Armstrong.

I would finish out the set from 19mm to 24mm. Then add the 27 and 30mm wrenches.

Minimum up to 24. You can skip 20 and 23. I've yet to find a use for them. If you want to go larger, add a 27, 30 and 32.

i see mc master only has full polished 12pts to 32mm
satin finish to 70
black only to 24
I do like Armstrongs full polished line.
Wrights are nice also, McMaster doesnt carry them

If those don't cover your needs you are working on weird ****. For wrenches, there is little need for any bigger. Maybe 34 and 36, but for working on cars and pick ups, I'd say you will be lucky to ever use the 30 and 32.

I used a 22mm for pivot shaft to frame nuts, and 24mm on the pivot shaft bushing nuts on my Dakota R/T. Not a ram but a mopar nonetheless.

to answer the q, on a dodge, you'll want up to 24...you'll want to add a 19, 21, 22(rarely used, but worth having), and a 24 for sure...the biggest nut you'll find on a 1500 dodge ram truck will be a 1 1/4, and that's on the pinion...and the front axle nuts on a 1500 are at most 1 1/2...i dunno though, i don't mess with those too much

10-24 add 27 you dont need 23. Also in your situation you dont need 30, 32, 34 or 36 in a wrench.

Oh also skip 22 and 27 because 7/8 is 22 and 1 1/16 is 27 and according to your post you already own those standard wrench sizes. Heck you dont need 19 either because 3/4 is the same wrench. There might be a few others you can skip but to be honest the three sizes I am comparing to standard are damn near exactly the same sizes.

Look on cripe I think for some Armstrong wrenches I am pretty sure I got some larger Armstrong metric wrenches from them for cheap.

Since you have a good set of SAE wrenches, a 1-1/16" works fine for 27mm and 1-1/4" works for 32mm.

Go on ebay and buy an old NOS Easco wrench set up to 32mm. They are pretty comprable to Craftsman raised panels, if not a little better.

I have a set of Easco wrenches form 20mm to 32mm in my tractor barn on the farm. I like the better than Craftsman. They are good.
KAL are made in the US but I don't care for the quality.
Proto and SK sets are out there cheap if you look. I just picked up a SK set of fully polished Metric wrenches. the set is form 8mm to 32. I got them in the roll yesterday for $100 and only the 32mm has been use and I would say only once by the marks in the box end.

I must have 4 full set and several dozen sets up to 19mm. Keep looking they are out there. If you can find an old set of Fleet they are fantastic. I have had a set of sockets for 50 years. Not one has broken.
